When bread is no longer a daily staple, flour becomes the first line of defense against hunger. This is the reality for the people of the State of Palestine – Gaza today, where the latest IPC report (July 2025) shows that the entire population faces severe levels of food insecurity, with over one million people in the Emergency phase (Phase 4) and around 470,000 in the Catastrophe phase (Phase 5). With 86% of farmland destroyed and the price of flour more than tripling, access to bread has become a daily challenge threatening the survival of families. https://www.ipcinfo.org/ipc-country-analysis/details-map/en/c/1159596/ In response to this unprecedented reality, Together for Development (Together for Intermediation Services LLC) is launching a flour supply service to the State of Palestine – Gaza, via both air and land routes, in cooperation with trusted local partners. The flour is available in two types: fortified with vitamins (iron, zinc, folic acid, vitamin A, B1, B2, B12, and niacin) to enhance nutritional value, and non-fortified. This service represents a practical step towards ensuring the continued availability of food, despite ongoing restrictions and challenges.
