Project Story
In remote villages across India, women walk long distances and spend hours fetching the water they need for drinking and preparing food for their children, turning their families’ most basic needs into a daily burden. The Shared Groundwater Well Project allows multiple delegates to purchase shares in a single well, which Together for Development (Together for Intermediation Services) drills and equips to serve around 200 people each day. With water close to home, preparing a meal and giving their children a glass of water become easier, leaving women more time to care for their children instead of spending it fetching water.
Make your impact continuous and ba a part of a project that sustains lives every day
The well is equipped with an electric pump, a water tank, and seating and taps for ablution, serving drinking, cooking, and everyday water needs. The cost of implementation is divided into shares. By purchasing a share, you authorize Together for Development ((Together for Intermediation Services) ) to carry out your share of the project and deliver the completed well in accordance with the specifications and terms agreed upon in the commercial agency contract.
